TNG and TOS (the two I love the most), Kirk is good what he does best getting the space ladies and get into fights and Picard is great what he does with diplomacy and those wonderful speeches that he does.

The Next Generation The Original Series The Animated Series Deep Space Nine Voyager Enterprise

I do regard DS9 as being the better show because it is the most consistently good series on all fronts. Here's how I'd rank them:
DS9 TOS TNG ENT TAS *chasm* VOY
With all that said, I vote TOS because it's my favorite.
